Using speed as an incentive, this project proposes a policy that encourages sustainable investments supported by a network of edge data centers in Luxembourg's financial district to decarbonize its financial industry.
The network inhabits the city’s existing underground structures of historical fortifications, tunnels, and modern parking garages. These fortifications from the Renaissance period are reborn in the 21st century as forts of the digital verse and integrates Luxembourg’s old and new underground to create a more cohesive network. This instigates spatial and policy design that reconciles surface and sub-surface, physical and virtual, pedestrian, and vehicular, and cultural and economic dynamics.
